Nigeria rose up four places in the October edition of the FIFA rankings and is now occupying 60th position in the world. They are, however, the 11th best team in Africa.
The Super Eagles’ rise comes after their 2-1 win over Zambia, in their 2018 World Cup qualifier in Ndola .
On the continent, they are ranked behind reigning African champions, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Algeria, Tunisia, Ghana, Egypt, Congo DR, Congo, Mail and Cameroon.
Argentina remains the number one football nation in the world and is followed closely by Germany and Brazil.
